It is very dark even for a murder story. I was transfixed from start to finish, and by the end I was completely shook.

Its cleaver and unique. The characters were well thought out. I found myself genuinely hating most of them as if they were real people who had done these things. Everyone is putting on a happy face but barely under the surface lies deeply held hatred, secrets and lifelong grudges that all threaten the happiness of the day.

If you're a Ruth Ware fan, I recommend giving this book a go. The writer hints at ghosts, possession and superstitions while the events of the book are all real. Thank you to Harper Audio for an audio copy of The Guest List by Lucy Foley.
