The key plot centres around the homeless community and looks at how they can be stereotyped and looked down on for no other reason than they are living on the street. He’s a thief and a bully but not a liar. You get the full bag of emotions along the way including lots of laughs too. Her books always cover sensitive issues in a way children can relate to.

The story is unusually told from the bullies perspective. The media could not be loaded. Another brilliant moral tale for children to enjoy and learn from.

A story of hope. Shows that you can change for the better. Things change after he plays a mean prank on a homeless man and ends up befriending him to solve a mystery. Follow Hector as he discovers kindness and compassion with the help of a homeless man.

A boy branded as a lost cause who takes pleasure in bullying kids at school. This was my first book by Onjali Q Rauf. However it shows the reasons for some of the characters plight and reminds the reader that there could have been devastating reasons that led these people to the situation they are in. However he begins to realise that what he is doing is not necessarily right and begins to try making amends which leads to trying to solve a mystery of theft with one of the children he bullies.

He’s not a lost cause. It is a lovely story and I look forward to trying out some of her other works.

It highlights some of the issues that happen in schools. The protagonist is not a nice boy, picking on his classmates for the fun of it and enjoying making them miserable. The tale is told from the point of view of Hector, a school bully. I will be recommending it for our school library.
