Last time it took me 8 hours to paint the 2 fence panels and all the picket fence, then another 8 hours for the second coat! Make sure you use gloves and cover your eyes/hair/clothes as there can be some spray back if there is a slight breeze.

I didn't get paint overspray, I pushed cardboard under the fence and just went for it. ! I just couldn’t face hand painting my fence so the sprayer made a hard job easy and quick and there was really no spray where not intended (I was spraying around a lot of plants, trees and bedding plants but none got covered in spray) - the spray covers where you aim with no dripping. You do need a funnel to pour the paint in as it’s quite gloopy and I found a cut down plastic bottle did the trick. . I covered about 5 metres featheredge (as pic) in about 10 minutes, and that was because it only has a 1.

I paint the fence every 5 years as recommended on the tin. Don't hesitate! Way better that those pump fence sprayers too.

Downside is it gets a bit heavy after a while, it’s quite noisy, drinks paint and the reservoir needs refilling often but I’ll be using it again and would recommend it for big jobs. I am so thrilled that I got this, because if I had to use a brush it would have taken me several weekends and several coats no doubt. People told me you can't spray fence panels as it goes everywhere.
